Our Story

On Ben Wilson and Amanda Dorset’s first date, Ben pulled out a plastic binder with a business plan he wanted Amanda’s thoughts on – this night would set in motion both the formation the romantic pairing of Wilson & Dorset and Wilson & Dorset the company.

The brand is reflection of the couple’s values – both South Island born, they explored professional lives in London and Sydney but were drawn back to Central Otago to live a life in reverence to nature. Living in the secluded Dublin Bay, looking over Lake Wanaka, Wilson & Dorset products can be found draped over the chairs by the outdoor fire and dragged across the living room into the most comfortable configuration. There is hope that their two children, Louie and Bessie will both one day join the family business.
